Life That's Not Life

I bolt through the door
Only to find you almost no more.
You're face is very pale.
All you can do is talk, not walk.

The hardened one says we won the rumble,
As fast as he could before you crumble.
Though you say fighting won't make a fumble in the game,
It will only make the hardened one think it's jumble.

His last words to you were words of pride.
It relieved you a bit of your stride.
But those words were it.
Since when your pillow sank, your eyes shut, and when you looked forever lazy,
You would be Pushin' Daisies.
